EU-only marketplace
BuyThisFly is intended only for buyers and sellers resident in the European Union, for lawful goods located and shipped within the EU. Listings and checkout use euros.
Who sells the item
The identified seller—not BuyThisFly—is the seller of record and the buyer’s contracting party for the gear. BuyThisFly provides marketplace, checkout, messaging and transaction-support services. Stripe and its regulated affiliates provide payment processing and seller payout services.
Protected checkout and commission
Buyers pay the displayed item price and shipping through Stripe Checkout. BuyThisFly deducts a 7% marketplace commission from the item price, not shipping. Seller funds are placed on a delayed Stripe payout schedule and become eligible for release after confirmed delivery, subject to disputes, refunds, payment reversals, reserves and Stripe requirements. This is not an escrow service.
Shipping, delivery and problems
Sellers must ship using tracked delivery and add valid tracking promptly. Buyers should inspect the item and confirm receipt. A buyer who receives nothing, a materially misdescribed item or an unsafe item must report the problem before confirming delivery. We may pause payout while evidence is reviewed. The detailed evidence, return, refund, auto-release and appeal time limits must be finalized before launch.
Keep transactions on BuyThisFly
Users must not share contact, bank, payment-service or checkout details to move a transaction off BuyThisFly, avoid fees or bypass safeguards. Attempts may be blocked and accounts or listings may be restricted. Pre-purchase questions are allowed in marketplace messages.
Private and professional sellers
Sellers must accurately declare whether they act privately or as a professional trader. EU consumer information, withdrawal and legal-guarantee rights generally apply to trader-to-consumer sales; private-to-private transactions do not receive the same statutory protections. BuyThisFly must show that status before checkout.
Taxes and reporting
Each seller remains responsible for taxes arising from their sale unless law expressly places an obligation on BuyThisFly. The platform may collect, verify, retain and report seller and transaction information required by DAC7, VAT, anti-money-laundering, payment and other applicable rules.
Safe products and conduct
Counterfeit, stolen, recalled, dangerous, illegal or misleading products are prohibited. We may remove content, suspend users, retain necessary evidence and cooperate with authorities.
Operator details
Before launch, add the operator’s legal name, registration and VAT numbers, registered address, support contact, governing law, complaint process, buyer-protection rules and trader-verification process. These terms require review by qualified EU marketplace, consumer, tax, payments, product-safety and privacy counsel.
